You'll get two links: a private organiser link and a voting link to share. You can add more names later, and so can your voters (you can turn that off).

Why families love it

Choosing a name by committee is chaos — a dozen WhatsApp messages, three vetoes nobody remembers, and your mum campaigning for "Nigel". The shortlist keeps it all in one place: every name, every vote, one leaderboard. And because every name links to its full NameInClass profile, you can settle the "is it too popular?" argument with real ONS data — including how many children with that name you'd expect in a school class.

Is it really free?
Completely. No account, no email, no app download. Create a shortlist and share the link — that's it.
Who can see our shortlist?
Only people you send the link to. Shortlist pages are private links and are hidden from search engines. Shortlists are automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity.
Can other people add names?
Yes — by default anyone with the voting link can suggest a name (and everyone votes on it). The organiser can switch suggestions off at any time.
How does the scoring work?
❤️ Love = 2 points, 🤔 Maybe = 1 point, ❌ Veto = −3 points. A veto is deliberately painful — if Grandad hates it, you'll know.
